About me
I started this website to write about cooking, now I find myself on a mid-career sabbatical, traveling in my Tesla Model X with my standard poodle, Knox, for 2 months. We left Minnesota, headed west, and I am partly thrilled, partly uncomfortable with my "no plan" plan to make spontaneous arrangements. Goals: to put myself in the way of beauty, to find rest in unfamiliar places, and to welcome serendipity.
This website documentation is foremost for myself, to document my journey with pictures and video so I can look back at it. I am willing to share it with close friends and family, with the understanding that I am not aiming for professional social media status. Rather, exploring creativity in the moment, and then moving on. xoxo
I have always loved puttering in the kitchen.
Without quite realizing it, I have acquired the love and ability to put meals together that inspire me, nourish the ones I am feeding, and celebrate the small and big moments in life. I am venturing into this space in order to share my recipes, knowledge and inspiration with my brother, Dane. He is a new college graduate, and embarking on the discoveries of nutrition, cooking and eating on a budget, while feeding a healthy appetite!
I hope he and others will find joy and confidence on these pages.
